The semi-automatic threader of the bernette 33 takes all the hassle out of threading your needle. Complicated threading is a thing of the past as the threader simply catches hold of the thread and pulls it through the eye of the needle. This means the bernette 33 is ready to go in seconds-and you can get started on your creative sewing project.

2-step foot lift-For sewing several layers of fabric

It manages even thick or heavy layers of fabric with ease, as the 2-step foot lift provides extra space under the presser foot. Simply raise the presser foot lift of the bernette 33-and even thick layers of denim or linen can be placed effortlessly under the presser foot. Thanks to its excellent piercing power, you can sew through several layers of fabric with ease. The pressure of the presser foot can be adjusted to suit any textile–which means that even sewing projects requiring tricky fabrics can be managed to perfection with the bernette 33.

Simple knobs for all sewing settings

The two non-slip knobs make it easy to adjust the stitch type and length. The 4-step buttonhole function can also be adjusted as you sew, with a simple turn of the knob.

Numerous convenient extras ensure even more sewing enjoyment

As well as being simple to operate, the bernette 33 offers an easily accessible reverse lever, ample space and an accessory box for storing your sewing tools so that they are always at hand.

Easy threading due to the colour-coded thread guides

This is made easier by the colour-coded threading paths and the lower looper threader. Just follow the coloured symbols and you will soon have your bernette Funlock 42 threaded.

Large working area for large sewing project

With 87mm of fabric passage space to the right of the needles, the bernette Funlock 42 also provides plenty of space for larger sewing projects. Another plus is that the work area is well lit by a bright LED light.

High sewing speed for efficient operation

The sewing speed of the bernette Funlock 42 can be regulated using the foot control up to a maximum of 1300 stitches/minute and enables very precise stitching at every stitching speed.

Easy and quick navigation with touchscreen and multi-function knobs

Find the right stitch or embroidery design and optimize the thread tension by using the 5-inch color touch screen, which is optimally positioned in the center of the machine. Or quickly change the stich length or width or position your embroidery design via the multi-function knobs . Bright and spacious for fast and accurate sewing

You won't be left in the dark with the four bright LEDs lighting up the sewing area, which offers you 230 mm of space right of the needle. The slide-on freearm extension table gives you extra space and comfort for large sewing or quilting projects.

Tie-off function and automatic thread cutter

With the automatic tie-off function you no longer have to stitch backwards to prevent the seam from unravelling. Simply press the tie-off button at the end of the seam. Next, the automatic thread cutter button, the threads are cut, and your seam is finished! You want it even faster? Program these functions for your foot control with back-kick function – tap your heel once, the seam is automatically finished, and the threads cut off!

Decorative and quilting stitches for magical embellishments

Of course, you can hem and zigzag stitch with the b79, sew stretchy t-shirt fabrics and even choose between 17 buttonholes. But there is much more than just the utility stitches: create truly exiting embellishments with 133 decorative and 35 quilting stitches. You want to modify included stitches or create your own ones? Everything is possible with the Stitch Designer. Your individual stitch settings are temporarily saved, and you can store them in your personal memory for future projects.

The right presser foot for any application

Eight presser foot soles are included with your bernette 77. You can select the appropriate presser foot according to fabric or project. For example, you can choose the zigzag foot for zigzag stitches, the embroidery foot for your decorative stitches and the automatic buttonhole foot with slide for your buttonholes. With the appropriate foot, you can accomplish your sewing project quickly and with excellent stitch quality. Embroidery made easy

The basting stitches ensure your fabric doesn’t slip from the stabilizer. You no longer have to cut off the threads when you change color or trim them between jump stitches. All the threads are cut off automatically while you embroider.

Creative possibilities with embroidery designs

With 208 embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets installed, a wide selection of motifs is at your fingertips. The motifs can be edited on the touch screen, so you can easily rotate, flip, or combine design elements. Want something truly yours? Upload your own embroidery motifs or motifs you edited and combined in your BERNINA Toolbox software via USB flash drive. The b79 is compatible with most embroidery design formats – no need to convert files in a software program anymore.
