Discover Embroidery with BERNINA provides a comprehensive introduction to digital embroidery. You'll learn everything you need to know to start embroidering, whether to spice up your old garments, create personalised gifts and merchandise for loved ones, or take the first step in starting an embroidery business.

Our flexible framework allows you to control the pace and outcomes of your embroidery journey. After establishing a foundation of embroidery skills in the first session, our expert mentors will guide you through the creation process. We tailor our guidance and teaching to your specific materials and learning goals, allowing you to work efficiently and effectively to produce your desired embroidered outcomes.

What is included?

  • All materials provided (limited to availability and stock available at BERNINA Concept Store). Participants are free to bring their own fabrics or items to be embroidered throughout the course
  • Access to all BERNINA machines – 5 and 7 series, including the latest 790 Pro
  • Access to embroidery designs and letterings in all BERNINA machines
  • Access to Bianco App (BERNINA’s latest app that translates drawings to embroidery)
  • Access to BERNINA Embroidery Software (BERNINA’s digitisation software)

Participants will be able to...

  • Confidently use a digital embroidery machine, troubleshooting when necessary
  • Understand the range of accessories and tools needed for embroidery – hoops, stabilisers, needles
  • Understand the different embroidery requirements and settings for different materials
  • Explore different ways to create embroidery designs on the iPad/computer
  • Create a variety of customised, personalised embroideries for you and your loved ones!

A 2-day Personalised Tote Bag Workshop

Looking for an introduction to machine embroidery and sewing? Join our 2-day workshop for a start-to-end journey in creating a fully functional & personalised product! 

This course introduces you to the world of machine embroidery. You'll have access to our in-house designs to create your own personalised embroidery as part of a functional product. You'll learn how to sew a tote bag with pockets and lining, and bring it to life with embroidery. Our expert mentors will guide you every step of the way and help you understand the techniques involved. 

The course comes with complimentary 2 hours of embroidery machine rental, so you can continue practising and honing your skills even after the workshop. Join us for a fun and informative experience, and take your first steps towards mastering the art of machine embroidery and sewing!

 

Participants will be able to…

  • Confidently use a digital sewing and embroidery machine, troubleshooting when necessary
  • Understand the range of accessories and tools needed for embroidery – hoops, stabilisers, needles
  • Understand the fundamentals of sewing to make a product
  • Understand the creation of freestanding lace using an embroidery machine
  • Create a fully functional tote bag, customised and unique to you!
