The right presser foot for any application

Eight presser foot soles are included with your bernette 77. You can select the appropriate presser foot according to fabric or project. For example, you can choose the zigzag foot for zigzag stitches, the embroidery foot for your decorative stitches and the automatic buttonhole foot with slide for your buttonholes. The basting stitches ensure your fabric doesn’t slip from the stabilizer. You no longer have to cut off the threads when you change color or trim them between jump stitches. All the threads are cut off automatically while you embroider.

With 208 embroidery designs and 7 embroidery alphabets installed, a wide selection of motifs is at your fingertips. The motifs can be edited on the touch screen, so you can easily rotate, flip, or combine design elements. Want something truly yours? Upload your own embroidery motifs or motifs you edited and combined in your BERNINA Toolbox software via USB flash drive. The b79 is compatible with most embroidery design formats – no need to convert files in a software program anymore.

The hoops are easy to open and close with a quick release system . The semi-automatic threader of the bernette 33 takes all the hassle out of threading your needle. Complicated threading is a thing of the past as the threader simply catches hold of the thread and pulls it through the eye of the needle. This means the bernette 33 is ready to go in seconds-and you can get started on your creative sewing project.

2-step foot lift-For sewing several layers of fabric

It manages even thick or heavy layers of fabric with ease, as the 2-step foot lift provides extra space under the presser foot. Simply raise the presser foot lift of the bernette 33-and even thick layers of denim or linen can be placed effortlessly under the presser foot. Thanks to its excellent piercing power, you can sew through several layers of fabric with ease. The pressure of the presser foot can be adjusted to suit any textile–which means that even sewing projects requiring tricky fabrics can be managed to perfection with the bernette 33.

Wide range of stitch patterns for more flexibility in your sewing projects

The bernette 37 has 50 different stitches, consisting of 17 utility and stretch stitches, two darning stitches and 19 decorative stitches, five buttonholes and seven quilting stitches. This means you are well equipped to handle any sewing project. The stretch stitches enable you to sew elastic jersey fabrics.

Good stitch quality, even on thicker fabrics

The 2-step presser foot lift enables the bernette 37 to master even thick layers of fabric. This is a real advantage when quilting, for example. The two steps involved in lifting the presser foot give you more space between the presser foot and the transporter, so you can place various layers of fabric beneath the foot.

Simple operation for more efficient sewing

The bernette 37 is easy to operate via the LCD display. It shows the current stitch, stitch length and stitch width. You can change the individual settings by pressing the relevant buttons. It is even possible to change the settings as you sew. If you want to sew without the foot control, you can use the start/stop function on your sewing machine. This is especially useful if you need to sew longer sections or if you want to stand at the table to sew.

Automatic limitation for double needles

When you change from a single to a double needle, the "double needle button" will help you adapt your needle to the presser foot so that neither needle will inadvertently hit the presser foot and break off. The "double needle safety" function limits the stitch width so that the needle doesn't hit the presser foot.

Adjusting the presser foot pressure to suit the material

For some materials, such as lightweight or thin fabrics, it is advisable to adjust the presser foot pressure. Your bernette 38 offers this practical feature.

Extension table for large sewing projects included

The extension table supplied with the bernette 38 is easy to attach and detach, and gives you more space for large sewing projects such as clothes, quilts or curtains.

Automatic thread cutter and tie-off function

When you get to the end of a seam, the thread has to be tied off to prevent the seam unravelling. Normally, you would do this by making a quick backwards and forwards stitch. This is no longer necessary with the bernette 38, as it has an automatic tie-off function. Simply select the Tie-off button and the end of the seam will be tied off automatically. When you have finished your sewing project, press the button for the automatic thread cutter and you can pull your completed work out from under the needle without having to reach for the scissors.

This is made easier by the colour-coded threading paths and the lower looper threader. Just follow the coloured symbols and you will soon have your bernette Funlock 42 threaded.

With 87mm of fabric passage space to the right of the needles, the bernette Funlock 42 also provides plenty of space for larger sewing projects. Another plus is that the work area is well lit by a bright LED light.

The sewing speed of the bernette Funlock 42 can be regulated using the foot control up to a maximum of 1300 stitches/minute and enables very precise stitching at every stitching speed.

The bernette Funlock 44 is easy to operate, even for beginners, because the 15 different stitches with 2, 3, or 4 threads ensure maximum flexibility when selecting stitches. And, at the same time, you always achieve a professional stitch quality. In addition to the 2, 3 and 4-thread seams, you can also provide your sewing projects with excellent rolled hems with a width of up to 1.5 mm.

Threading made simple

The color-coded, open thread path makes the bernette Funlock 44 easy to thread by following the colored markings. A separate needle threader and lower looper threading mechanism also make threading easier.

The most important overlocker accessories are always at hand in the looper cover. Other accessories are stored in a separate box.

What is the differential feed for?

The differential feed always ensures smooth seams with knitted fabrics and crimp-free seams with fine fabrics. By adjusting the setting between 0.6 and 2, however, deliberate crimping can also be created, as for decorative ruffles.
